Description
Turn some scrap metal into a beautiful language stone pendant. The ultimate recycling! You will be melting, rolling, annealing, drilling, sanding and finally stamping a truly unique pendant for you. And while my language stones are in Welsh and Irish, you can of course stamp whatever language you want, although let me know in advance of any special characters that I may need to source!
As standard I will be supplying you with scrap sterling silver, but if you have a particular piece of jewellery or gold etc that you would like to use as long as it is properly hallmarked that should be fine. Any questions please ask.
In my first trial workshop we took unwanted wedding rings after a divorce and turned them into a pendant saying Cariad (love)!
The price also includes an 18inch sterling silver chain, if you want a different length please let me know in advance as I don’t always have a stock of other lengths.
If you would rather make a keyring or attach to a bracelet etc that should be fine, just let me know.
Checkout this lovely reel from Sam of her finished piece, she decided to attach it to an existing bracelet she has https://www.instagram.com/p/DJbXLlLNBOZ/
Please be aware we have 2 rolling mills, so for groups of 3 or 4 you will have to share but there is enough going on in the workshop that we shouldn’t have a traffic jam.
Each workshop will be 3-4 hours and will run with minimum of 2 people and maximum of 4. The price will include all the materials and tools you need; unless you want to bring your own metals, and a cuppa and some nibbles..
My studio is in Trecenydd, Caerphilly, walkable from Caerphilly town/castle, just a short walk from Aber train station if you’re travelling by public transport. On street parking is available, you rarely have to go further then around the corner. Full details will be emailed when you book.
