Design and Make your own Silver Pendant Workshop

This workshop is going to be so fun! You get to design and make your own sterling silver pendant! I will have samples and ideas, and if you want to make one of those that’s fine, but also if you have a thoughts for your own design then this is the workshop for you!

Included in the price is a piece of recycled sterling silver 3cm by 3cm, an 18inch sterling silver chain, any jump rings needed, some practice copper and use of my tools and expertise. I expect the workshop to take approx. 3 hours and we will have a little break as well with tea etc provided and a few biscuits/cake.

We will start the day discussing any ideas you might have and since there will be a maximum of four people I will then demo a few relevant skills, be that sawing, soldering etc. You can then experiment with the copper or move straight onto the silver; with me there to help you as needed. If you would like to add a piece of gold or a stone or a bigger piece of silver, please let me know beforehand so I can make sure I have it in stock but I will have some stones etc that you can look at and purchase on the day if wanted. I wont be firing up the kiln but the option for torch fired enamel is available.

My studio is in Trecenydd Caerphilly, walkable from Caerphilly town/castle, just a short walk from Aber train station if you’re travelling by public transport. On street parking is available, you rarely have to go further then around the corner. Full details will be emailed when you book.
