Caerphilly is such an amazing place, with amazing people, but like so many other places we’re all in our little worlds and so rarely our paths cross 🙁
So I’ve decided to do my bit to try and build more links and more community, at least within my sphere of creatives.
With that in mind earlier this year myself and Bethan from Joy House Creations set up the group Caerphilly Creatives, we have set up the directory website and I have to put some more lovely makers up this week and we’ve had some great social meet ups because seriously there are some amazing creatives in this area!
Last week we got to bring Caerphilly Creatives in on another amazing project in Cearphilly, Cynefin Caerffili and the space they are currently holding known as Y Banc ….its a former bank with very cool vault and all!
It was a great day meeting some lovely people and with lots of hammering! We ran some drop in workshops as well as our regular third Friday of the month social meet up.
For my workshop I brought lots of lovely tools so that visitors could make their own stamped copper keyring and it went great, so great in fact that I’m hoping to be able to offer it at any markets etc I go to in the future!
Joy House Creations brought a selection of pottery painting.
And the uber talented Georgina of Georgina doodles showed us all how to do lino printing and it was fun!!!! 
I’m sure we will be back at Y Banc soon and I encourage you to keep an eye on them, I feel like Cynefin Caerffili are ones to watch!
And very very soon I will be announcing some collaborations with Joy House Creations and others so watch this space! And Yay for community!
