Description
A solid sterling silver pendant with the Irish word as Gaeilge “Spideog” which translates as “Robin”
For 2026 I’m working my way through the book ” An Irish Word a Day” by Hector O hEochagáin, some of the words are beautiful some of them are silly, all are worth learning. So thats my challenge for the year, to turn each word into a piece of jewellery.
I do have other Clocha teanga in Irish and Cerrig iaith in Welsh, language stones in English, each piece is made from recycled sterling silver which is melted and rolled and stamped by hand making each piece different. I will be doing all sorts of interesting words in the languages so please let me know your favourite!
My language stones are made by recycling my sterling silver left over from other projects, part of my effort to reduce waste!
This pendant shows a little spideog on a background of Oak leaves with the word Spideog above it, all in Sterling Silver.
This pendant is 6.8g of silver which is hallmarked ready to go. It 3cm x 2.5cm and is supplied with an 22inch sterling silver chain as standard, please message me if you are after a different length I can probably swap it but I don’t keep a stock of every length.
