Bye bye 2025, Hello 2026!

Somehow its the end of 2025!!!!

In my head I just got out of Uni and its like 20 years ago! But all the calendars tell me Iโ€™m wrong as do the two kids running around my house!

Its been a funny old year business wise, rising metal prices are making every jeweller cry! But I had the lovely distraction of getting the workshops up and running!

I have wholeheartedly enjoyed meeting so many lovely people and getting to make jewellery and ornaments with them. Iโ€™ve got a pretty damn cool job! I also love that there is so much variety in the workshops and so much variety in what you amazing people have made!

ย

Its interesting seeing the different pattern of the year play out too. Spring seems to be all about wedding ring workshops, with a packed May bank holiday of friends making stuff together! The summer was soooo quiet, I was very relieved to be told thatโ€™s normal by others that have been running workshops longer, I had been panicking!!

September was more friends making stacking rings and a few wedding rings then November and December was lots of lovely enamel ornaments!

From a business point of view really workshops have been the years focus, to the point that I think some people forgot I make stuff myself too!!! So I need to get better at communicating that!

From a personal point of view it was all about juggling and finding time to be Sarah again and not just mammy. I started going to the wonderful Healthy High Club where Sarah looked after myself and my friend and we sweated ourselves sane, and once I heard it was closing and being taken over by Team Rees Gym we decided to join the gym and I have been lifting weights and the like for 2 months now, like who even am I! I have a personal goal to do a pull up by my birthday in June, can I do it? Any tips appreciated! And I want to do monkey bars by the time Iโ€™m 50 which is giving me 8 years to sort so hopefully I can manage that!

I ended the year with 782 hours outside, the best I’ve done yet by 82 hours, can I make the 1000 next year now I have 2 great little walkers I think I might be out of excuses ๐Ÿ™‚ย

I also set about this year combining my interest in learning Irish and Welsh with my jewellery and have loved doing my language stones with plans for 2026 in the works so there will be loads more Irish and Welsh coming! And Iโ€™ll be focusing personally on my Irish trying to get better and better and speak it with the kids.

So 2026 will hopefully be a year of workshops, pull ups, Irish and Welsh jewellery and making some space to rest cause its just sooo important!

I hope you got some rest over the holidays and I hope throughout the year, Iโ€™d love to hear what others are aiming to do this year and what you feel you achieved in 2025!

Happy New Year!
