An eye catching pair of cufflinks made from recycled sterling silver and 24ct gold foil using the Korean technique of Keum boo. Keum boo is an ancient Korean technique of fusing metals using heat and pressure. I love the effect so watch out for more of it in my shop soon! Also random fact I spent 2006 living in Korea so it has a special place in my heart!
The cufflink fronts are made from recycled sterling silver, which has been textured with Oak leaves, and on to which 24ct gold triangles have been applied. Each cufflink is 1.6cm in diameter, weighs approx 4g and is textured with Oak leaves, a symbol of strength and endurance.
A pendant and earrings to match are also available.
The black colour is a product of oxidation of the silver, to show the gold to its best advantage, but if you would like a more subtle pair of earrings the silver can be left silver, just let me know.
